The buildings of Holbox have palapa roofs and craftsmanship architechture.

Swimming with whale sharks and manta ray's is possible from June-September.  What an experience. 

Holbox is an island of soft sand, friendly dogs, hanging hammocks, great water sports and peace.

The only cars allowed on Holbox's sand streets are golf carts.  They are quiet and a blast to drive.

There are over 10,000 pink flamingo's that call this coast their home.  Great bird watching.

Holbox is easy to get to, <2 hour flight from Miami+3/1/2 hour bus or taxi ride+30 minute ferry ride. 

Enjoy delicious fresh Mango Margarita's at Colibri's on the square. 

Biking the beach or buzzing around in the open air golf carts is the way to go. 

 Casa Iguana is a great value.  The suite on the left above the manager's house has an awesome view of the ocean and is shaded by the palm trees.  There is a great view of sunset.  The dining room has a microwave and small frig. 

The bedroom has 2 queen beds with hammocks by the door and on the porch.  Shaded palapa's are common and the afternoon breeze and ceiling fans make it quite comfortable.  Open air is the theme on this island where everyone keeps their doors open.

Abraham Jesus is the local Kite Surfing instructor.  A 3 day lesson will run $329 to understand and practice the basics.  This up and coming sport is a must for those that love water sports.  Abraham also guides whale shark tours.  Contact Abraham at:
